Technical guidelines for delivery of sound an visual material


Sound delivery


1. Protools Session (Version 8), or
2. Avid compatible .omf2 embedded file, divided in reels or
3. .aaf file

please note:
1. Export from Avid with NO picture
2. Make sure you dont't exceed the the maximum file size of 2 Gb, if necessary export track by track.

also:
Set a beep for sync check at the beginning and the end of each reel
Export soundfiles with at least 10 sec. of handle length

alternatively:
for exports from non- omf compatible programs:
bounce tracks A/B to .wav files (48kHz, 24 oder 16 bit) sound file start should be picture start.

Original sound files and sound reports
please provide all original soundfiles from the location sound mixer.
please provide sound reports as .xls or.txt files


delivery of visual material


1. picture to be divided in reels white flash at the beginning and at the end for sync check
2. picture format:

Quicktime DV PAL 25 fps or 24 fps
For HD Projects: Quicktime Apple ProRes HQ 1080p, 24fps or 25fps
inserted timecode (at the top for foley recordings)
Sound for sync check 
(track 1 production sound, track 2 music)

alternatively:
Beta SP oder Digibeta divided in reels
(PLEASE NOTE: EXTRA COSTS MAY APPLY)

also:
German or English Subtitles if it is neither a German nor English language production

data delivery 


All data should be delivered on Mac (HFS+) or PC(FAT32 oder NTFS) compatible Firewire- or USB2.0 hard-drives

Technical guidelines for delivery of score music


Audio format:

1.Fileformat: .wav, 48kHz, 24 bit

Tracks:
1. The music should be delivered as Protools sessions, divided in reels
if that is not possible, please deliver .wav files  with a sync beep (2 sec before the FFOA and 2 sec after the LFOA of each reel).

2. The music should be delivered in Sub Mixes (Stems)
1.Pad Sounds
2.Percussion sounds
3.Melody or solo sounds
4.Reverb

With all faders set to 0 the mixed sound of the stems should result in the desired music mix.
Stems should be 5.1 mixes, Stereo mixes may be accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: Single, unmixed tracks are not accepted. Mixing of single tracks the music is not part of the re-recording process.
